Payment methods overview
The following payment methods are available for all HOSTDOG services:
| Method | Processing time | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | Instant | Fast, secure online payments |
| Credit / debit card | Instant | Direct card payments (Visa, Mastercard) |
| Bank transfer | 1 – 3 business days | Larger payments, business accounts |
| Account credit | Instant | Pre-loaded balance for quick checkout |
PayPal
PayPal is one of the fastest and most widely used payment methods. When you select PayPal at checkout, you are redirected to PayPal's secure platform to authorise the payment. No card details are shared with HOSTDOG directly, adding an extra layer of protection. Payment is confirmed instantly and your service is activated right away.
Credit and debit cards
HOSTDOG accepts Visa and Mastercard payments through a PCI-compliant secure payment gateway. Your card details are encrypted during transmission and are never stored on HOSTDOG servers. Once the payment is authorised, your service is activated immediately.
To pay by card, simply select the credit or debit card option during checkout and enter your card details in the secure form provided by the payment gateway.
Bank transfer
Bank transfer is available for customers who prefer to pay directly from their bank account. When you select this option, the invoice generated in your client area includes the bank details you need to complete the transfer. Processing typically takes 1 to 3 business days, depending on your bank.
Account credit
You can pre-load funds into your HOSTDOG account and use them to pay for services at checkout. Account credit is applied instantly, making it a convenient option if you manage multiple services or want to streamline renewals. To add funds, log in to your client area and navigate to Billing → Add Funds.
Payment security
All payments at HOSTDOG are processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant channels. Whether you pay by card, PayPal, or bank transfer, your financial information is protected throughout the transaction. HOSTDOG does not store sensitive payment data such as full card numbers on its servers.
Automatic payments and recurring billing
HOSTDOG supports automatic recurring payments so your services renew without interruption. When you save a payment method in your client area (PayPal or credit card), invoices can be charged automatically when they are generated. To manage your saved payment methods, go to Billing → Payment Methods in your client area.
VAT information
All prices at HOSTDOG are subject to Greek VAT, which is applied automatically at checkout. The applicable VAT rate and HOSTDOG's VAT number (EL801889158) are displayed on every invoice. Business customers within the EU may be eligible for VAT exemption by providing a valid intra-community VAT number during registration or in their billing profile.
