In this guide you will learn how to search for and register a domain name through your HOSTDOG account. The entire process takes just a few minutes.

To register a domain you need:

• A HOSTDOG account — if you do not have one yet, create it first
• An idea of the domain name you want (e.g. example.com)
• A valid payment method (PayPal, credit/debit card, bank transfer, or account credit)

Navigate to the HOSTDOG homepage and click the Log in button in the top right corner. Enter your email and password to access the client area.

From the client area dashboard, click Register a New Domain. In the search field, type the domain name you want (e.g. mybusiness) and click Search.

The system checks availability across all supported extensions and shows results instantly. You will see which names are available and their annual price.

Tick the checkbox next to the domain you want. Choose a registration period — most extensions offer 1-year or multi-year options. Multi-year registration locks in the current price and protects against expiry.

Click Add to Cart to proceed.

On the domain configuration page you can set:

• Nameservers — if you have a HOSTDOG hosting plan, select Use default nameservers (ns1.hostdog.gr and ns2.hostdog.gr). If your hosting is elsewhere, enter your provider's nameservers.
• ID Protection — hides your personal WHOIS details from public lookup (available for most extensions).

Click Continue when ready.

Review the order summary showing the domain name, registration period, and total price. Apply a promo code if you have one.

Select your preferred payment method and click Complete Order. Once payment is confirmed, your domain is registered and appears in the Domains section of your client area.

After registration, HOSTDOG sends a confirmation email to your registered address. For certain extensions (e.g. .com, .net, .org), ICANN requires you to verify your contact email within 15 days — check your inbox and click the verification link.
